OPEN CALL

Essays, Reflections & Critical Dialogue

Thursdays is now accepting submissions of writing for publication on our platform.

We invite emerging and underrepresented artists, writers, and thinkers to share essays, reflections, reviews, and experimental texts that engage with art, culture, and the social and political realities shaping our communities. Rooted in curatorial activism, Thursdays believes that creative work can challenge dominant narratives, amplify lived experience, and open space for necessary conversations.

We welcome pieces that question, critique, document, or imagine—writing that speaks to identity, power, access, resistance, care, and collective futures. This may take the form of critical essays, personal narratives, exhibition responses, cultural commentary, or hybrid and experimental formats.

This is not a space for gatekeeping or credentials. Whether academic, poetic, or deeply personal, what matters most is intention, clarity, and perspective. If you have something to say—something that feels urgent, reflective, or unresolved—we want to make room for it. Selected pieces will be published as part of Thursdays ongoing online magazine.

Submit your work below. We look forward to reading and learning with you.
